Dustin Johnson celebrated his milestone 40th birthday in style.
The two-time major championship champion was treated to a cowboy-themed birthday party, complete with acoustic set and fireworks, which was captured in a new Instagram video posted Thursday by Johnson’s wife, Paulina Gretzky.
Gretzky, the daughter of NHL legend Wayne Gretzky, paired her corset top and shorts with a cowboy hat and boots, while Johnson, who turned 40 on June 22, opted for a white button-down shirt, jeans and a cowboy hat — a look that has also been replicated by the couple’s two sons, Tatum and River.
Amid dazzling fireworks, Johnson was seen embracing the 35-year-old Gretzky, who was also treated to a tiered cake decorated with sparklers as the guest of honour.
“Maybe we should go back,” Gretzky’s friend Kristina Melnichenko commented on the post, which also featured Shabousy’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
Gretzky and Johnson were engaged in 2013 and plan to marry in 2022.
According to photos of the star-filled outing posted to Gretzky’s Instagram page, the couple enjoyed a round of golf with Wayne and friend Travis Kelce ahead of the LIV golf pro’s birthday celebration this month.
Johnson, the 2016 U.S. Open winner and 2020 Masters champion, has been going through a tough time recently.
Johnson missed the cut at the U.S. Open this month at Pinehurst No. 2 after shooting 9-over in the first round, and tied for 43rd at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in May.
Johnson finished tied for 51st at LIV Golf’s Nashville tournament last week, finishing at 4-over par.
He has joined the Saudi Arabia-backed circuit in 2022 for a reported $125 million.
Johnson could look to turn things around next month when LIV tours Spain and Britain ahead of the British Open at Royal Troon.
