‘The Big Door Prize’ Canceled By AppleTV+ After Two Seasons

The comedy-drama, in which Chris O’Dowd plays Dusty Hubbard, a “seemingly content and cheerful family man and high school teacher,” will not return for a third season.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise, as the series received an early renewal for Season 2 just one week after its April 2023 debut.

“Like many of Deerfield’s residents, the couple had been living a relatively safe and ordinary life until the arrival of the Morpho Machine. But that’s all about to change as the community is forced to come to terms with underachievement in the pursuit of a better future.”
