NY DA Alvin Bragg slammed in hundreds of thousands of online posts

His reputation is nothing to brag about.

The online appeal against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s soft-on-crime stance is clear: Mr. Bragg garnered a dismal 56 percent negative sentiment in discussions, articles and mentions across U.S. platforms in the past three months, according to data provided to The Washington Post by social media experts Lira Global Consulting.

In 483,000 posts, critics pointed to a series of policy failures and poor decisions, including his soft-on-criminal response to crime in Gotham, his tolerance of anti-Israel protesters, his stance on police and his criminal prosecution of former President Donald Trump.

According to Rila’s data, a staggering 60% of negative comments about the DA on social platforms like TikTok, X and Instagram, in forums and news sources in the past 90 days were about the Trump case.

“I’m not surprised that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, who allows thieves to steal from New York City supermarkets, has dropped charges against most of the masked group involved in the Columbia University attack.
