A day after his disastrous debate performance led to calls for him to resign from some of his own party’s leaders, Joe Biden found solace in a group from which he can count on unconditional love and support: the “LGBTQI+” community.
Joe Biden appeared with Elton John in New York on Friday as part of Gay Pride Month and helped open the Stonewall National Monument Visitor’s Center, a new facility in Greenwich Village commemorating the 1969 Stonewall riots.
In his teleprompted speech about pride, Biden repeatedly used the phrase “the soul of America,” an echo of a controversial speech last year in which he said transgender people “shape the soul of our country.”

In a Twitter post, Biden celebrated the Stonewall event and pledged his support for the “LGBTQI+” community (the “I” stands for “intersex”).

To all in the LGBTQI+ community, please know that I see you as you are.

Elton John joined Biden in slamming the “misinformation” and “senseless scapegoating”.
“Are we going to stand up for our vision and values, or turn back the clock with misinformation and mindless scapegoating? Absolutely not!” the singer said. Biden made the sign of the Catholic cross after hearing Elton John’s blasphemous words.

Biden is campaigning in North Carolina, New York and New Jersey this weekend, trying to forget his gaffe at Thursday’s debate.
In New Jersey, Biden attended a fundraiser hosted by Governor Phil Murphy (Democrat).
But the fallout from the debate continues, with Democratic Party leaders and their allies in the mainstream media chiming in ever louder: The New York Times The paper’s editorial board urged him to withdraw from the presidential race.
Biden was reportedly at Camp David on Sunday meeting with his family and considering his political future.
