Plane with five on board crashes in upstate New York

A small plane crashed near Sidney, New York, on Sunday afternoon, transportation officials said.
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the single-engine Piper PA-46 plane crashed in Delaware County after taking off from Albert S. Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta, New York, around 2 p.m. Sunday.
Five people were on board the plane at the time of the crash, according to the FAA, and their condition was unknown as of late Sunday night.
