Recent polls have revealed that core supporters of President Biden are questioning whether he should remain in the 2024 presidential race.
The poll was conducted by USA Today/Suffolk University from Friday through Monday, with pollsters using probability-proportional telephone calls to 1,000 respondents in every state across the U.S.
More than four in 10 Democrats in the poll said Democrats should step in and remove Biden from the running. Overall, 54% of voters surveyed supported Biden dropping out.
According to a press release from Suffolk University, the poll also noted that Trump’s support base “appears to have grown stronger since the debates,” with only 14% of Republicans saying the GOP should remove Trump from the running, even after his recent conviction.

The poll also noted that Trump won the debate by a 5-to-1 margin, or 50% to 11%, and only 28% of Biden supporters said the incumbent president won.
“Most voters cited mental acuity as a factor in their opinions of both candidates’ debate performances,” the statement said. “Critics of the 81-year-old Biden’s performance used words like ‘confused’ and ‘incoherent.'”
“Supporters of the 78-year-old Trump praised the candidate with words like ‘coherent/articulate’ and ‘aware/present.'”
Biden’s weak debate performance continues to rattle Democrats, and on Monday, one of Biden’s longtime Senate colleagues called for a new nomination.

talk Julie Gamack’s Iowa Potluck, Former Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin called Thursday’s debate “a disaster from which Biden will not recover.”
“Of course, Mr. Trump’s answers were incoherent, incomprehensible and full of lies, but they were delivered forcefully and honestly,” he said. “I also think every sitting Democratic senator should write Mr. Biden asking him to remove his delegates and step down once the convention has chosen a new nominee.”
“Maybe a few governors need to do the same.”
