The Caitlin Clark effect shows no signs of slowing down.
The visit of Clark’s Indiana Fever team forced the Las Vegas Aces to change the venue for Tuesday’s game from Michelob Ultra Arena to T-Mobile Arena.
The move will allow Ace to increase ticket supply by 33% from 12,000 to 18,000, and demand is also surging.
According to a report from TickPick, the team sold twice as many tickets for this game as it sold for Games 1 and 2 of last year’s WNBA Finals in Las Vegas combined.
Additionally, the current admission price of $92 represents a staggering 667 percent increase over the $12 admission price for the next home game between the Aces and Mystics at Michelob Ultra Arena.
The largest purchase so far has been for four tickets in section 15, row G for $2,584, working out to $646 per ticket.
The 22-year-old rookie, who became the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft after a record-breaking collegiate career at the University of Iowa, is attracting a host of new fans, including some notable fellow players.
Star player Diana Taurasi met Clark for the first time during the Fever’s 88-82 win over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.
“It’s amazing. What Kaitlyn has accomplished so far in her short career is just phenomenal. What I really love about her is how hard she works,” Taurasi said. “Even in her short career in the WNBA, she’s faced a lot of pressure, a lot of obstacles, but she just keeps hustling and keeps getting better with every game, so her future is super bright.”
In 20 games played during his rookie season, Clark averaged 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks in 34.3 minutes.
She is set to play in the WNBA All-Star Game, with an announcement expected on Tuesday before the Fever and Aces face off.
