Passengers on the Incredicoaster at Disneyland’s California Adventure park were forced to wait more than an hour after the ride was stuck running on Sunday.
About 1:30 p.m., 20 guests needed to be rescued after the roller coaster stalled midway. The temperature outside in Anaheim, California, was about 83 degrees at the time, according to the website Time & Date.
Disneyland staff handed out umbrellas to protect guests from the sun, local reports said, and workers in safety harnesses were eventually able to lower passengers from the 120-foot-tall attraction to ground level. OC Hawk reports.
California Adventure is part of the Disneyland Resort, and guests at the park told KNBC-TV they believed there were issues with the ride Saturday as well.

“I thought maybe the ride was closed,” Vince Crandon said, “I was worried about the heat and obviously the passengers… The ride wasn’t running and it was at the top.”
The Incredicoaster was originally known as California Screamin’ when it opened in 2001. It was redesigned for Pixar’s The Incredibles in 2018 and is now Disney’s fastest and longest roller coaster in California.
