The countdown to October begins.
On Tuesday, July 2, Peter Laviolette’s 2023-24 Presidents Cup champion New York Rangers announced their 2024-25 preseason and regular season schedules.
And according to the team’s Instagram, they’re already back on the ice and preparing for next year.
“We’re back on the ice, we’re back to work,” the team said. share Six hours after announcing our upcoming itinerary.
But their first regular-season home game is still three months away: The Rangers are scheduled to play their first official match at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 12 against the brand-new Utah Hockey Club, formerly known as the Arizona Coyotes.
After that, notable matchups on home ice in 2024 include Eastern Conference championship opponents and eventual Stanley Cup champions Florida Panthers (October 24), the always exciting New York Islanders (November 3), the competitive Winnipeg Jets (November 12), arch-rivals New Jersey Devils (December 2) and a rematch with the 2023-24 Metropolitan Division runners-up Carolina Hurricanes (December 22).
In 2025, Broadway Blueshirt fans will want to tune in for key matchups against the Boston Bruins (January 2), Dallas Stars (January 7), Vegas Golden Knights (February 2), Washington Capitals (March 5) and Edmonton Oilers (March 16).
The Rangers will play 45 home games at Madison Square Garden, including three preseason matches.
