The New York Knicks are just one victory away from making it to the NBA Finals, and they’ll have an opportunity to achieve this in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Knicks are riding a strong wave, having taken a 3-0 lead in the series and extending their playoff winning streak to ten games following Game 3 on Saturday night.
Jalen Brunson shared some thoughts ahead of the game, stating, “No matter what’s at stake, this is a chance for us to come together, be better than the last game and continue to learn. And try to be the best team you can be.” It sounds like they’re focused and ready, doesn’t it?
In Game 3, the Knicks came out strong with 37 points in the first quarter, establishing their dominance early. Although Cleveland managed to equalize at 50-50 in the second quarter for a brief moment, New York quickly responded with a 10-1 run, reclaiming a lead they would hold onto for the rest of the game. Brunson was impressive, finishing with 30 points and six assists while Mikal Bridges contributed significantly with 22 points, shooting an efficient 11-of-15.
