A Florida woman stole 24 Stanley tumbler cups from a hardware store and also stole champagne, lobster and crab meat from other locations, authorities said Monday.
According to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, two Winn-Dixie stores and two Ace Hardware stores in Nassau County, near Jacksonville in north Florida, were burglarized Saturday.
“This incident demonstrates the importance of vigilance and swift action. The vigilance of an off-duty deputy led to the swift arrest of the suspect and may have prevented additional thefts. We will continue to work to protect local businesses and the community from criminal activity like this,” said Nassau County Sheriff Bill Leeper.

The women were identified as Stacey Sullivan, Kaneki Hixson, Montavia Sullivan and Tracy Sullivan. The suspects stole approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise.
Police were first called to an Ace Hardware store where employees said the four suspects had stolen 24 Stanley Cups by hiding them under shirts and in bags. The steel tumblers have become hugely popular in recent months after appearing on social media.
The group then left in a silver Chevrolet Malibu. An off-duty police lieutenant heard a BOLO (be on the lookout) signal over his radio and spotted the vehicle.

The suspects were stopped and taken into custody in a Winn-Dixie parking lot, and the sheriff’s office said authorities found high-end food items in the vehicle, including a Stanley Cup, crab meat, lobster tails, bacon, steak and champagne.
“It’s clear that these criminals had high-end tastes and were targeting premium foods and popular items at several establishments around the county, but I can assure you that champagne and lobster are not on the menu at the Hotel Nassau County Jail,” Leeper said.
