Ann Wilson of “Heart” fame has announced that she will be undergoing preventive chemotherapy.
The famous rock singer said in a statement that he underwent surgery to “remove something” but that it turned out to be “cancerous.”
“I still have a lot to sing.”
“I recently underwent surgery to remove a tumor which turned out to be cancerous. The surgery was successful and I feel great, however my doctors recommended that I undergo preventative chemotherapy which I have decided to do,” she said in a statement posted to social media.
She hinted that she plans to resume performing in the future.
“So, my doctors have instructed me to stay off the stage for the rest of the year to fully recover. To all of you who bought tickets, I really wish this concert could happen. I definitely intend to return to the stage in 2025. My team is sorting out the details and I will let you know as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support. This is just a hiatus. I still have so much I want to sing,” she wrote. “With all due respect, this is my final public statement on this matter.”
Heart is known for popular songs such as “Barracuda,” “Crazy on You” and “Alone.”
