Christian McCaffrey, the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year, recently married former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.
One fashion influencer took issue with the dress Culpo wore to the wedding, describing the long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana ball gown as “modest.”
“I’ve been a bridal creator for four years and I’ve never said this before, I don’t love this wedding dress,” Kennedy Bingham, an influencer who goes by the stage name Gown Eyed Girl, said in a video posted to social media.
McCaffrey responded to Bingham’s comments by slamming her for sharing the “evil” post.

“What an evil thing to post online. I hope you all find joy and peace in this world like my beautiful wife,” he captioned the Instagram reel.
Bingham added that while he doesn’t have any problem with the “simple and elegant” dress, he feels it “lacks personality.” video“From Miss Universe to Miss Pick Me, Olivia Culpo takes the crown.”

Culpo then called Bingham a “weird person” in the TikTok comments section.
Bingham’s take on Culpo’s outfit seems to center around a recent statement she made that she “did not want the dress to exude sexiness in any way.”
Culpo told Vogue in June that she wanted to wear a dress to her wedding that “felt as serious as those vows.”

“What you wear on your wedding day has very little to do with whether you’ll have a long, happy marriage,” Bingham argues, adding that it “promotes the idea that all brides should be a certain way.”
In the more than five-minute long video, Bingham slammed Culpo for saying McCaffrey feels “most beautiful” when wearing “timeless, form-fitting and elegant” clothing.

“I also find it weird that she talks so much about covering up, especially since she doesn’t normally dress modestly…. I find the use of the word ‘cover up’ gross, because she doesn’t normally cover up. And why does he think covering up looks the most beautiful? It’s so weird,” she continued.

McCaffrey and Culpo were married on June 29 at a church in Rhode Island.
McCaffrey finished the 2023 NFL season with a career-high 1,459 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns and seven receiving touchdowns. His performances led to his third Pro Bowl selection.
