Intruder Dies After Allegedly Lunging at Armed Homeowner

A San Antonio, Texas, homeowner armed with a shotgun shot and killed an intruder who reportedly charged at him just before 1 a.m. Sunday.

CBS Austin report The alleged intruder came to the front door and tried to enter the home, but the homeowner asked him to leave. The alleged intruder then tried to enter the home again, but was told to leave again. The homeowner then said he “heard a noise in the backyard, investigated and encountered the same man.”

The homeowner grabbed a shotgun and stood with his wife when the intruder allegedly lunged at the homeowner, who fired one shot, fatally wounding the alleged intruder.

Police said the homeowner[feared] For my wife’s safety” KENS 5 I got it..

The intruder is said to be a 47-year-old man.
