4th of July Meal Up $11.72 Since Biden WH Bragged Price Dropped $0.16

In President Joe Biden’s (Democratic) economy, enjoying a celebratory meal on Independence Day is becoming increasingly expensive.

This year’s Independence Day will be the “costliest holiday on record” for Americans, RNC Research said in an email Wednesday.

“After the Biden Administration tried to brag that the price of a Fourth of July barbecue dropped by $0.16 in 2021, the price of the same meal has since increased by $11.72,” the email said. Quote American Federation of Agriculture Associations.

In July 2021, the White House posted a video claiming that Biden’s economic policies had caused the cost of Independence Day barbecues to fall since 2020, Breitbart News reported at the time.

“The cost of a 2021 Fourth of July barbecue is 0.16 cents less than last year,” the clip said. Said:

Breitbart News fact-checked the claims and found them to be largely false: “While it’s true that prices for Fourth of July items have dropped slightly since 2020, that has little to do with Biden’s policies and more to do with the coronavirus pandemic,” the outlet said.

“The summer of 2020 saw prices of many food items skyrocket as Americans bought more food and production and supply chains were hit,” the report continues.

The outlet reported Tuesday that inflation is slowing but remains above the Federal Reserve’s 2% target, and noted that the prices of the foods Americans will eat on Independence Day have reached record highs.

According to Breitbart News, a poll from Emerson College found that one-third of Americans have changed their plans for celebrating Independence Day in 2022 due to rising gas prices.

Meanwhile, Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are preparing to host a barbecue at the White House at 5 p.m. on Thursday, “trying to appear energetic and proactive for the late afternoon start time,” the outlet reported.

For the octogenarian presidential candidate, given the awkward days that have followed his dismal showing in the first presidential debate, his only options are to keep fighting or simply quit and walk away.

Biden, who will turn 86 at the end of his second term, has planned a long list of events next week – all starting on Independence Day – to counter that perception and prove to skeptics he still has what it takes to hold onto the nation’s highest office.

The RNC Research email noted that hosting a barbecue for 10 guests on Independence Day in 2024 would cost $71.22.
