The Yankees are investing in their pitching, especially their relief pitchers, but there are only two pitchers who are position-appropriate — Jonathan India of the Reds and Luis Rengifo of the Angels — and it’s pretty questionable whether either of them can play anywhere in the infield.
India is in top form and his leadership has endeared him to Cincinnati.
The Angels are inclined to sell — Tyler Anderson, Taylor Ward and Carlos Estevez are likely to be moved — but they’ll likely listen to Rengifo.
With his magical hands and .280 career batting average, it’s a mystery why Jose Iglesias needed to sign four minor league contracts.
The Marlins are looking to trade Jazz Chisholm, who would be a good fit for the Dodgers, but his stupid rant against Miguel Rojas (who has been playing great in Mookie Betts’ absence) probably kills that idea.
The Dodgers can choose either an infielder or an outfielder, but the rotation remains their biggest concern.
My favorite player in this draft is the wonderfully named Seaver King, but unfortunately the Wake Forest star is an infielder, not a pitcher.
