The body of a missing Arizona woman has been found and her husband has been arrested in connection to her disappearance, Flagstaff police announced Friday.
According to a statement obtained by FOX 10, Kelly Padukowski’s body was discovered around 10 a.m. Friday.
“Recovery operations are active and due to ongoing search operations the location of the discovery will not be released at this time,” the statement said.
Kelly Padukowski, 45, was reported missing Sunday night after her husband reported she hadn’t returned home after a jog and swim, sparking a nearly week-long investigation into her disappearance.

According to police, Kelly’s husband, Daniel Padukowski, 58, filed a missing person’s report after Kelly did not return home after going for a jog and swim on the evening of June 30.

According to investigators, on June 30, the day Kelly went missing, data from her cell phone was tracked to the Schultz Creek Trailhead around 10:20 a.m., and Daniel was seen in the same area around 11:30 a.m. that same day.

Police interviewed family members and other witnesses during their investigation, and evidence found in Kelly and Daniel’s home established that he had assaulted her.

Police said before they discovered Kelly’s body, they believed, based on the current evidence and information, that she may have been a homicide victim.
