Livvy Dunne surprises Paul Skenes with All-Star celebration

Olivia Dunn celebrated her flamboyant boyfriend Paul Skeens’ All-Star selection.

The Pirates rookie sensation earned his first appearance in next week’s MLB All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas, and after the news broke, Dunn celebrated the occasion for Skenes.

Dunn celebrated the news in multiple social media posts, first sharing an MLB post announcing that Skeens had been selected for the Midsummer Classic with the caption, “He’s an All-Star!”

In a second Instagram Story, Dan showed off balloons that read “ALL STAR,” pizza, champagne and more.

In a video posted to TikTok, Dan, wearing a long black dress, showed off a behind-the-scenes look at how she surprised Skenes with balloons and pizza as he returned from Sunday’s 3-2 loss to the Mets.

The video begins with Dan showing off the balloons, then cuts to footage of him dancing around the room celebrating Skenes’ news.

Finally, the LSU alum is seen arriving at Dan’s apartment, jumping up and down with a smile on his face as he sees all the goodies he’s collected.

The video was captioned, “I surprised my boyfriend when I found out he’s an MLB All-Star.”

Skenes made a bit of MLB history by becoming the first player to be selected to the All-Star Game, be the first player to be selected first overall in the draft and play in the All-Star Game the following season.

“You can’t really count on it,” Skenes said. According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review:“I just think it’s a product of being there and doing the work that was necessary. When we were there, there was definitely an expectation to win a national championship. That’s the only thing we wanted to do.”

“But in terms of being drafted No. 1 overall, being called up whenever I could, and now going to the All-Star Game, I didn’t have any expectations. I just kind of did the best I could and let other people make the decisions. So, a lot happened over the course of a year. It wasn’t necessarily hectic or anything, but looking back, it just flew by.”
