In October 2023, the Fall Classic (aka the World Series) will be held at the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field.

The Midseason Classic will be held in Arlington this summer.

On Tuesday, July 16, the best players in baseball will compete in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game, which will be the first time since 1934 that the game will be played at the home stadium of the previous season’s World Series champion.

In the American League, stars Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Jose Altuve and Adley Rutschman are scheduled to start for Rangers manager Bruce Bochy.

Shohei Ohtani, Bryce Harper, Tre Turner, Christian Yelich and Fernando Tatis Jr. will lead Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo’s National League squad.

Local stars Kirby Yates and Marcus Semien will represent the Rangers.

But the All-Star that everyone is talking about heading into the big game is Pittsburgh Pirates rookie phenom Paul Skenes, who became the first No. 1 draft pick to become an All-Star the season after being drafted.

All-Star Weekend will kick off with the HBCU Swingman Classic on Friday, July 12. The event will feature baseball student-athletes from Division I programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) showcasing their talents.
