Is THIS why Democrats want to draft our daughters?

The Democratic-controlled Senate is debating a draft of a National Defense Authorization Act that would include a selective draft registration plan to open up women to the draft.

Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah opposes it.

“The agenda of conscripting our daughters has nothing to do with our nation’s defense,” Lee said. Glenn BeckHe explained that the move was for “aesthetic purposes” and that he saw it as a sign of how “awake” and “open-minded” we are.

“I don’t see any other reason why they would want to do that,” he continues. “As long as there are able-bodied men available and able to fight, we’re not going to send women into combat. It’s a basic concept. There’s no need to get to the point of a moral issue about this, it’s a matter of survival.”

Democrats have proposed conscription for women every few years, but Congress has rejected it each time.

“This year, they’re trying to quietly put this in the National Defense Authorization Act,” Lee explained. “A revolutionary policy like this shouldn’t be in there.”

“What they’ve been doing, especially recently, is putting together this bill and then ramming it through the Senate floor and saying once it gets to the Senate there’s no opportunity to amend it. So now is the time to sound the alarm,” he added.

Today, women can and do serve in the military, but most women do not serve in the same capacity as men.

“Women have served in various capacities throughout the wars,” Glenn said. “They can serve, but they’re not physically made for it. A 125-pound woman is not going to be able to drag a 200-pound guy off the battlefield.”

“This is not a question of right or wrong, it’s a question of survival,” Lee agrees.
