Daniel Cameron, CEO of 1792 Exchange, said: Breitbart News Daily Anti-corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) groups will likely continue to pressure companies to abandon their pro-DEI stances following Tractor Supply’s withdrawal after adopting left-leaning policies.
Cameron, a former Kentucky Republican attorney general, said 1792 Exchange is working to ensure that companies “return to neutral ground” and resist pressure from left-wing activist groups such as the Human Rights Campaign, which compiles a Corporate Equality Index to rate companies and then pressures companies to adopt left-wing positions such as climate action and diversity efforts.
1792 Exchange is one of many organizations and activists who have lobbied Tractor Supply to scrap its DEI policy, and the company has pledged to eliminate its DEI role, roll back its DEI goals, focus on agricultural education, animal welfare and veterans support, and end its sponsorship of Pride festivals and get out the vote campaigns.
Cameron explained, “At 1792 Exchange, we sent a letter to Tractor Supply saying, ‘You shouldn’t fill out the Corporate Equality Index. If you fill out the Corporate Equality Index and try to do what Target and Bud Light do, it will hurt your bottom line, so focus on doing good business.'” On the other hand, there’s also legal risk, which is what we’ve seen with Activision and some of the airlines when they take progressive stances that end up alienating people within the company who hold traditional values.”
Other activists, including Robbie Starbuck and Libs on TikTok, also spoke out against Tractor Supply.
It’s not a secret Tractor Supply is one of conservative America’s most beloved brands, but did you know they also promote LGBTQ training, fund Pride events, and support gender reassignment surgery?

Cameron said Tractor Supply decided to “respect its customer base” by removing the DEI policy.
He said Americans should also defend companies if they abandon their DEI policies.
“1792 Exchange and other stakeholders need to step up and hold these companies accountable, and encourage and promote them when they’re doing good things,” he said.
“We will continue to work hard,” he added.
