During Monday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “The Hill,” Rep. Shawntell Brown (D-Ohio) said of President Joe Biden reportedly telling state governors they need to work less and get more sleep, “I appreciate that. I think it shows his honesty, his credibility and his integrity in telling the truth.”
host Blake Berman asked.[Y]You used to be a businesswoman, and now you’re a member of Congress. You have a staff, right? So whether you’re running a business in the private sector or you have a staff as a member of Congress, you have people that work for you. And I know the president told the governors at the White House last week, Congressman, you need to get more sleep and work less. Congressman, if one of your staff members said to you, you know, Congressman Brown, you need to get more sleep and work less, you would fire them, wouldn’t you? Or you would start looking for a replacement?
Brown responded: “Absolutely not. I think the fact that the president can admit his flaws is something to be appreciated. I think it speaks to his honesty, his credibility and his integrity in telling the truth. The person on the other side has no connection to the truth and can’t do that. So that’s more of a concern to me than what you’re saying about President Biden.”
