Texas Republican Rep. Wesley Hunt is calling for an “investigation” into the circumstances surrounding President Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline, warning that if White House staff knew about the president’s “debilitating” medical condition and deliberately hid it from the public, it would be “the greatest scandal in the history of American politics.”
In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News on Tuesday, Hunt referred to the letter he wrote: sent The president asked the White House physician in February why cognitive testing wasn’t included in the president’s annual physical.
“Let me be clear: Many of us have been saying the president has had a serious mental breakdown for years,” he said.
He also mocked Democrats and the media for covering up the president’s cognitive problems and then now claiming to be “shocked.”
“It’s funny to me how shocked Democrats and media people are right now,” he said, noting that “so many of them were complicit in the cover-up.”
“In fact, the president [Donald] “Mr. Trump did his country a favor by appearing on CNN’s debate and exposing Mr. Biden’s cognitive decline to millions of Americans who have been misled by the media and the Democrats,” he argued.
Rep. Hunt raised concerns about who would actually deal with a sudden national security crisis and warned that the 81-year-old Democratic president poses a significant risk to national security.
“Biden’s continued presidency is a threat to national security,” he argued. “I know his day starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m., but who is going to take the call at 3 a.m. if there’s a national security crisis?”
“Will the de facto president be Dr. Jill?” he asked. “Or will it be Hunter Biden, a convicted felon and former drug addict?”
“Let’s say the Pentagon senses a nuclear bomb coming at some point. It’s 11 p.m. Who do you call, the First Lady?”

Rep. Hunt called for an “investigation” into the matter, arguing that evidence suggests Biden has a “debilitating” illness and that the deliberate cover-up of that fact would be the “biggest scandal” the United States has ever faced.
““What happened here should be investigated,” he said, “because all evidence indicates that Mr. Biden suffers from a debilitating and degenerative medical condition.”
“And if White House staff knew about this and hid it from the public, it would be the greatest scandal in the history of American politics,” he concluded.
The issue comes amid growing concerns about the 81-year-old’s age and mental health in an election year. Given that recent events have “highlighted the President’s significant decline in memory,” he argued, “the American people have a right to know whether their commander in chief is mentally unstable.”
