A Tarzan wannabe was standing in a tree when a branch snapped, sending him plummeting 60 feet into a Florida stream, according to the video.
New footage shows Christopher James Sykes Smalley crashed into another branch while on his way to Vernon’s famous Crystal Springs last month, but only suffered minor injuries.
Smalley attempted to dive into a swimming spot 60 feet below, but the branch he was standing on broke, then the branch he was holding onto above his head broke, causing him to fall into the stream with it.
A group of people in a small boat appeared to be about to jump in after him, before he quickly surfaced.
Smalley reportedly said he normally jumps from a low branch but decided to try jumping into the water from a higher point.
“The fall was incredible. When I heard the branches breaking I knew it was really coming down,” he told Storyful.
“It was my first time jumping from that height. I always jump off a branch that I hit on the way down.”
Smalley suffered bruising to his leg and also dealt with a foot injury but avoided any broken bones or fractures.
