Chuck Todd admits top cabinet official told him Biden was not in condition to run again — two years ago

MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd revealed that Cabinet members told him two years ago that President Joe Biden was not fit to run for office again.

Todd made the comments during a conversation with Politico senior political columnist Jonathan Martin on the latest edition of his podcast, “The Chuck Toddcast.”

“This is a classic open secret.”

“I don’t want to expose ministers, but two years ago a minister asked me out of the blue: ‘Do you really think that in these circumstances he can’t run again?'” Said Todd.

“And I said, ‘Well, you probably have more interaction with him than I do,’ and they said, ‘I don’t have much interaction with him,'” he continued.

“This is a fairly senior cabinet member story, and it was two years ago,” he reiterated. “It’s a classic open secret, it’s private, right? Everybody knows it, but everybody’s afraid to talk about it.”

He further defended the media, saying its value depends on having sources that don’t lie.

“It’s going to change the whole narrative about Joe Biden.”

Later in the podcast, Todd Hospitalized Every revelation about Biden’s condition is destroying his reputation and his accomplishments.

“Everything I’ve learned has made me reconsider much of Biden’s record, and I still can’t believe he ran for president in the first place, given the crisis his family was in in 2018,” Todd said.

“When you look at what’s happened, I can’t believe he put his family through this,” he added. “And now, when you look at his actions in sticking with this, I think it changes the whole narrative about Joe Biden. It’s always been about his ambition, and his ambition comes first.”

Martin responded that it all depends on whether Biden wins or loses.

Those chances have worsened for Biden’s campaign since his collapse during the first presidential debate on CNN, with calls for him to step down growing louder and polls showing him losing support and Trump gaining an edge just months before the November election.

“I’m going to vote for a dead guy, but I’m really angry.”

Todd also said on the podcast that Biden will take a hit in lower-ranking districts such as California. He said he’s had “very angry Biden supporters” tell him, “I’m going to vote for a dead guy, but I’m really mad at him.”

He further said these negative sentiments would lead to lower voter turnout and fewer seats for Democrats.

But Todd still has some hope for Democrats. Although Biden suffered a crushing defeat in the debates, he said Trump could also lose the election if he doesn’t follow through on his campaign.

“It’s not that Trump has gained support, it’s that Biden has lost support. Trump hasn’t gained much support,” Todd said.

Todd has been heavily criticized and slammed over the years by many on the left for not defending Democrats enough, with some even calling for him to be fired for what they see as right-wing bias.
