During a Wednesday broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said it was clear from his behavior in the meeting that President Joe Biden is not capable of doing his job, but that he still makes the final decisions.
McCarthy said, “You first know something’s wrong because the White House is so quiet. There’s no noise in the Oval Office, it’s just him, and I actually go to see him from 8 p.m. to 10 or 2 p.m. or so. But every meeting I had was different. The first thing I noticed was that in every meeting, even if it was just a few people, he had to talk on his card. And I interrupted him once… he closed his card and couldn’t continue the conversation. So I found it advantageous to let him start and then interrupt him. The other thing I noticed was that he would whisper sometimes. I didn’t know what he was saying. He was always talking about old Reagan stories. So I decided to stop dealing with him and to rely on my staff, and they knew it. They just kept quiet.”
McCarthy added that Biden’s demeanor varies from meeting to meeting and that he could be more engaged in some.
After the discussion turned to nuclear launch codes, McCarthy concluded, “He’ll still make decisions. He’ll still make decisions by shouting.”
