Former Clinton advisor and MSNBC contributor Huma Abedin is marrying Alex Soros, the son of billionaire Democratic donor George Soros.
The liberal lovebirds announced their engagement on social media, with Soros sharing a photo of himself on one knee.
“This happened… we couldn’t be happier, more grateful or more in love.” Soros writes: In an Instagram post.

Abedin, 48, a longtime aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, publicly announced her romantic involvement with Soros, 38, earlier this year in a Valentine’s Day Instagram post that showed the pair cuddling behind a table filled with roses in a booth at a Paris restaurant.
The progressive power couple’s engagement came seven years after she divorced her first husband, notorious Democratic politician Anthony Weiner.

Abedin has been a staunch supporter of Clinton since she began working as an intern for the former first lady at the White House in 1996, going on to work as a top aide at the State Department, the Clinton Foundation and Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. He will join MSNBC in 2022..
Abedin herself was embroiled in a major scandal in 2011 when her husband, Weiner, then a New York congressman, was caught sexting, posting lewd photos to a Twitter account that he initially claimed had been hacked.
“The first words out of my mouth weren’t, ‘How could you do this?’ or, ‘I thought you loved me.’ The first thing I said was, ‘So you’ve been lying to the whole world for a week?'” Abedin said. He wrote in his 2021 memoir“‘Anthony, there are people counting on you. You owe it to them to tell them the truth!’ ‘I know,’ he said. ‘You have to go back and deal with the consequences.'”
George Soros handed over his empire to his son Alex, who is a more “radical” leftist, according to a review of his past speech.

Weiner’s actions played an indirect role in the 2016 election when the seizure of his laptop in an investigation into criminal sexting activity set off a chain of events that led then-FBI Director James Comey to reopen an investigation into Clinton’s private email server.
Weiner has faced multiple sexting allegations and used the infamous alias “Carlos Danger.” Weiner was caught sexting with a minor and was sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Abedin divorced Weiner in 2017 after seven years of marriage. The couple have one son together.
Alex Soros met with Democratic Party leaders shortly after inheriting his father’s nonprofit empire
Soros has been in the spotlight ever since he took over control of his father’s massive, multibillion-dollar Open Society Foundations in June 2023. Since then, he’s been on the road, meeting with Democratic Party officials and former President Bill Clinton, and even attending a meeting with Pope Francis. Records show that Soros has visited the Biden White House at least 20 times.

Since 2018, Soros has posted dozens of photos of himself and top Democratic leaders in the House and Senate. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer His social media feeds feature Rep. John McClellan of New York and then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California most frequently, and he also posts a photo with Vice President Kamala Harris, writing, “It was such a pleasure meeting the First Lady recently.” [Kamala Harris]!”
Critics say that based on Soros’ past statements and social media activity, he will become “an even more radical leftist than his father.”
