Late-night host Stephen Colbert used a Dr. Seuss-style rhyme to poke fun at President Biden amid widespread concerns about his cognitive health and ability to perform the duties of the presidency.
Colbert, long one of Biden’s staunchest allies in the media, stepped up his mockery of the president following his debate performance.
“Is he mentally healthy?” Colbert said, reading from a mock book titled “Oh The Places For Joe!”

Colbert began reading a passage from “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”, a 1990 parody of the Dr. Seuss book.
“Can he finish the term?” Colbert said. “Can he beat RFK, with his wormy brains? Just ask, just ask, he loves to talk, if you ask before 8 o’clock.”
The description of the parody book reads, “Join Joe Biden and explore the incredible world outside the Oval Office!”
“Here’s the thing,” Colbert said. “Maybe Biden doesn’t win. Or maybe he’s the only one who can win. I don’t know what the right answer is, and I’m not alone in that belief.”

Colbert is not the only celebrity to speak out against Biden.

In an essay published in The New York Times on Wednesday, Clooney called on Biden to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, writing, “It shocks me to say this, but the Joe Biden I sat with at a fundraiser three weeks ago was not the ‘big’ Joe Biden of 2010. He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same person we all witnessed at the debates.”
“This is an age thing. Nothing more. But it can’t be overturned. We cannot win in November with this president,” Clooney wrote.
