I Worry Biden Not Given Real Information on His Polling

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow said Thursday on “All In” that she worries President Joe Biden isn’t being told the real poll numbers that show he’s losing the election, even as he insists in press conferences that his approval rating isn’t bad.

“There were some things he said that I thought were impressive,” host Chris Hayes said. “He was honest from start to finish and it gave you a glimpse into his mind. He said he had to get the job done.”

“As Democrats and those struggling with this decision to stop Donald Trump from returning to the White House, I can’t say enough times that we don’t have perfect information about the future, and the assertion that President Biden is best placed to beat Trump is simply an assertion. There are other assertions based on data, and others may be more likely to win,” Maddow said.

She continued, “The reality of the polling numbers of a sitting president and the actual history of it and what President Biden is saying as far as I can tell is not actually factual. It makes me worry that we’re being given a brighter picture of the president’s political positions than they are, not based in reality.”
