“The reason I wanted to release this song in mid-2024 is because I believe a lot of people are going back to the Bible and trying to find some answers, some real truth,” John Rich said in an interview with host Mike Slater on Friday. Breitbart News Daily On Sirius XM Patriot 125.
“What’s on the page is the only complete truth. It’s not what you say, it’s not what I say, it’s not what the media says, it’s not what your pastor says. It’s what the Bible says. So this song is what the Bible says.”
“revelation” dramatizes the spiritual dimension of the song with a literal showdown between good and evil, with the devil played by Justification Actor Nick Searcy.

For Rich, “revelation” is deeply personal in several ways.
His father, Jim Rich, has been a Baptist minister since he was 19 years old and has long had an interest in the Book of Revelation, and in particular how St. John’s apocalyptic visions play out in the contemporary world.
“[My father] “Until we had AI, the internet and all the technology we have today, most of us preachers had no idea that many of these prophecies were actually going to come true,” John Rich said.
“Now the systems are in place for those prophecies to come true,” he added. “Everything prophetic that’s spoken of in Revelation is now possible.”

Rich’s latest big hits include “progress“, “The End of the World” and “Shut up about politics” He also said,revelation” acts as a warning, reminding listeners to look for the real meaning behind worldly obsessions like Trump vs. Biden, left vs. right.
“I think we’ve all gotten so caught up in all the fuss that’s going on that we’ve lost sight of what it really is, which is that there is a spiritual battle going on right now that is manifesting physically in what we’re seeing today.”
“This song wasn’t written to be a hit,” Rich said. “It wasn’t written for commercial or business purposes. It’s a message to be delivered.”
