A voter who has criticized President Biden is speaking out about interactions with a Biden campaign staffer who he claims tried to block an interview with a New York Times reporter.
Steven Stubbs, a First Amendment attorney in Henderson, Nevada, told Fox News Digital in an interview that he was invited to a campaign event featuring Vice President Kamala Harris on June 28 at the East Las Vegas Community Center.
Stubbs said he initially wanted to attend Harris’ event to hear how the administration plans to address inflation, but after Biden’s performance at CNN’s presidential debate, he also wanted to hear how Harris would respond to questions about Biden’s intellectual ability.

“Everybody was talking about the debate the night before. Everybody. Everybody was worried. Some people were speaking out and saying, ‘We have to move forward with what we have, so don’t talk negatively.’ But 90 percent of people were critical of Joe Biden. [were] “I was very, very worried,” he recalled.
Worn by staff Biden Harris Stubbs said the shirts handed out at the event “strongly suggested” that people should not say anything negative about the president at Biden events.
He was out eating tacos and ice cream when he happened to sit down next to the chairman of the Nevada Democratic Party, and minutes later, New York Times political reporter Simon Levine asked him for an interview.

Stubbs said he and Levine began talking, and Levine asked him what he thought about the previous night’s debate.
Biden’s staff I was chasing Levine. She pulled out her phone and began recording the conversation. “That in itself was a little intimidating,” Stubbs told Fox News Digital.

He said he began to question why Biden wasn’t able to clearly explain in the 90 minutes of the debate what he does every day as president.

“I’m concerned about who’s running the country right now, and from what I saw last night, Biden has stepped down and Kamala Harris is in. [who] “I said, ‘Biden was elected vice president, that’s her job and she should serve out the remainder of the term.’ And her staff said, ‘We’re stopping right now. This is a Biden event. Sorry, we’re stopping.’ She tried to stop her,” Stubbs explained.
“To The New York Times’ credit, they told her, ‘No, I’m going to continue with this interview, but she has been grilling me the whole time. Really grilling me. How dare you do this?'” Speaking negatively about Biden “In the New York Times”
Levine identified the staffer as Clio Calvo Platero, deputy communications director for the Biden campaign in Nevada.
Calvo Platero Two attempts were made to end the interview. Levine’s research paper said she met with voters critical of Biden, once with Democrat Amy Nelson and once with Ms Stubbs.

The Biden campaign did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital about the incident.
Stubbs, who describes himself as a constitutionalist, said he is a Democrat who voted third party in the 2020 election because he was not satisfied with either Trump or Biden.
He said his interaction with Calvo Platero “shocked” his conscience. “I didn’t like it,” he added. “She gave us an order — it wasn’t a request, she gave us an order to stop talking. It was horrifying.”
Stubbs told Fox News Digital: Undecided Voters Heading into November, he has issues with both Trump and Biden, likening the choice to “chlamydia” or “gonorrhea.”
“Neither of those are good choices,” he said. “Can someone tell me why they wouldn’t vote for Trump?”

FOX NEWS POLITICS: Biden vs. Trump Rematch?
Inflation is the most important issue for him heading into November because it has hit his family and adult children “severely.”
Stubbs said her final concern about Biden is that he is trapped in a “bubble.”
“He’s not listening to feedback from real Americans, is he? I Biden is mentally astute “I’m going to get the job done today. I think the responsible thing for him to do is, for the good of the country, put himself aside, put his ego aside, step down and let Mrs. Harris finish out her term. It’s not that long, is it? Give her a chance,” he told Fox News Digital.
“My problem is that if Biden continues to run, we don’t really know who Trump will be running against. It’s the person behind the curtain. Biden doesn’t have the mental acuity, so we don’t know who is making the analysis and the decisions,” Stubbs continued.

“The curtains have to be lifted. We have to know what’s going on and who’s running the country. That was the first thing I asked the reporter. Who’s running the country? We need to know.”
The White House has repeatedly said Biden was feeling unwell during the debate due to a cold and jet lag, and has maintained that the decision was his. Biden himself has maintained that he is fulfilling the duties of the presidency and is the best candidate to defeat former President Trump in November.
