House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) is investigating who actually holds the “real power” under President Joe Biden’s leadership, and has issued subpoenas to three little-known White House staffers as he tries to determine whether a “shadow government” has existed all this time.
“I want to find out who is actually running the show for Joe Biden,” Comer said during the show. Breitbart News Saturday.
“So I think it’s pretty clear that he can’t run the presidency, much less serve another four years, and we’re all asking the question, ‘Who’s actually running the show? Who’s pulling the strings?'” Comer said, noting that Republicans have used sources that include disgruntled Democrats to identify three White House staffers who he called “Joe Biden’s gatekeepers” and who have “protected Biden” from his cabinet and the mainstream media.
“They protected Joe Biden from a lot of people who could have sounded the alarm a lot sooner than they could have a week ago that Joe Biden was mentally incompetent to serve as president. That’s why we’ve subpoenaed them. No one, including me, had ever heard of these three people until we decided that these were the three we should subpoena. We’re going to call them in and question them and find out, first of all, whether there was a cover-up, and even worse, whether there was a shadow government,” Comer continued. He said it’s clear that “Biden has not been in power for quite some time.”
“Three years into the Joe Biden administration, Watergate seems like not much different than not crossing the street,” Comer said, noting that both the media and the deep state have continually covered up financial crimes the Biden family has “committed for over 20 years.”
Comer doubled down on the belief that White House staff were covering up about Biden’s leadership, saying they likely worked with the White House physician to “not only cover up, but create a false narrative.”
Comer said he believes concerns about a shadow government are one reason some Democrats have begun calling for Biden to drop out of the race. He also said they are driven by fears that former President Donald Trump has a legitimate chance to return to the Oval Office.
Either way, Comer predicted the truth will come out.

“The difference between our investigation that we’ve just launched and the Biden influence investigation is that there are a lot of people who are cooperating. There’s already been a lot of reporting, a lot of prominent Democrats coming forward and stating the fact that they don’t believe Joe Biden could pass a cognitive test,” the congressman said.
“When you think about the responsibilities of the president of the United States and the decisions he makes every day, who has been making those decisions? The White House has acknowledged that the president only functions from 8 to 4, which I think is an exaggeration, but you know, there’s a lot that happens before 8 in the morning and after 4 in the afternoon,” Comer said, describing it as a national security issue.
“Cabinet members are confirmed by the Senate so the American people can know who they are, what they think, where they stand, and determine whether they’re competent. If you have three or four low-level officials deciding what weapons to send to Ukraine, or how to use an executive order to restrict drilling so that gas prices go up and cause more inflation, I think there are a lot of people who should be held accountable if those decisions are being made by three or four officials that nobody’s ever heard of,” Comer said, noting that the mainstream media is complicit because prominent figures “have attacked any Republican who suggests Joe Biden is not healthy, even as recently as when they were trying to get Robert Hur to release the audio tapes.”
Ultimately, Comer explained, the situation is made worse by the fact that most lawmakers are only interested in self-preservation and feel that their futures are “in jeopardy” because of Biden’s weakness as a presidential candidate.
“They’re going to start talking, and they’re going to start talking even more if they lose. So we’re getting a lot of sources and the investigation is moving forward apace as to who is in charge, who is involved in the cover-up,” Comer said.
Asked what accountability would look like, Comer said, “In terms of accountability, it’s going to mean putting people who commit serious crimes in prison.” At the very least, he said, it’s going to mean removing bad actors from the government’s payroll.
