A string of celebrities, including rapper 50 Cent and singer Kid Rock, took to social media to respond to the attempted assassination of former President Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The former president said he was shot in the ear while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday. One rally attendee was killed, as was the suspected shooter, identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.
Two other spectators were also seriously injured, the Secret Service said.

“Trump got shot and now I’m trending [shoulder shrug emoji]” the rapper wrote above the photo.
In an earlier post from the rapper, which has since been deleted, 50 Cent shared a photo of Trump pumping his fist in the air moments after he was grazed by a bullet and bleeding. Attaching his song “Many Men (Wish Death),” the rapper wrote, “I know the vibe… we’re all in a mess right now!”
The song’s lyrics include, “Many men wish me death on them. My eyes are bleeding.” It was not immediately clear why the post was removed.

President Trump on Sunday thanked the public for their concern over the assassination attempt on him and called for Americans to come together.
Later that day, he said he was heading to Milwaukee to attend the Republican National Convention.
“In light of yesterday’s horrific events, I had intended to postpone my trip to Wisconsin and the Republican National Convention for two days, but have decided that I cannot allow a gunman or potential assassin to force me to change my schedule or anything else,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Therefore, I will be leaving for Milwaukee as scheduled today at 3:30 PM. Thank you!”
