Rep. Bennie Thompson Field Director ‘No Longer’ Employed After Cheering Trump Shooting

Staff members of Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Mississippi) who appeared to express disappointment that former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday are “no longer” employed by the congressman after the president said he was “not a spy.”

Jacqueline Marseau, whose Facebook profile lists her job as Thompson’s site director, Reportedly “We do not condone violence, but please take some shooting lessons so you don’t screw up next time. [sic] That’s not what I was talking about.”

“THAT’S WHAT YOUR HATE SPEECH DOESN’T DO!!” she continued in the post, which was screenshotted by the Magnolia Tribune’s Russ Latino.

“It’s impossible for anything to have happened to such a nice person, but this was orchestrated,” Marseau wrote in a follow-up post, shared by Matthew Hart of the Leadership Institute.

“This is my last post. Trump supporters tried to attack me so I had to block them and you still don’t see his mistake.”

Marceau’s posts were later deleted or made private after going viral.

After facing backlash over his remarks, Thompson released a statement to Fox News’ Aisha Hasni.

“I was made aware of the posting by a staff member, who is no longer under my employment,” the councilman said.

Tracking down the 20-year-old shooter Thomas Matthew Crookes Regarding the assassination attempt on President Trump, Thompson posted, “There is no place for political violence in our American democracy. I am grateful for the swift police response to this incident. I am glad the former President is safe. Thoughts and prayers go out to all involved.”

However, X users noted that the Mississippi Democrat who was then the leader of Speaker Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) January 6th Select Committee said: The bill was submitted He announced in April that if he is convicted, he will strip Trump of his Secret Service protection.

Reacting to the news that his father had been shot in the ear at a Butler rally, Donald Trump Jr. wrote, “Just a reminder, if @BennieGThompson and the Democrats had their way, my dad would be dead by now.”

“Don’t let them drill memory holes,” Trump added.
