Former President Donald Trump has “only grown stronger” with time and from various attempts to undermine him, said Republican Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana, praising the 45th president’s resilience after Saturday’s assassination attempt. Banks stressed the need for strong leadership that “our country desperately needs” and asserted that Trump “will never back down.”
In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News on Sunday, Rep. Banks praised the former president’s unwavering strength and resolve in the face of an assassination attempt that shocked the nation, and described Saturday, the day a gunman tried to kill President Trump during a rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania, as a “dark day.”
“Yesterday’s assassination attempt was a dark day,” he said, “but in that moment, President Trump demonstrated the strength our country desperately needs in its leader.”
Banks also praised Trump for standing firm despite numerous attempts to undermine him.
“They tried to impeach him, bankrupt him, imprison him, and now the coward tried to kill him,” he said, “but it only made him stronger, and he’s not going to back down.”

As a result of this attack, Injury The political atmosphere has become heated following the murders of several individuals and the tragic death of former Pennsylvania State Fire Chief Corey Comperatore.
Senator Banks concluded by offering her condolences to Comperatore’s family and prayers for all those affected by this violence.
“I am praying for Corey Comperatore’s family and all those injured in this heinous attack,” he said.
Senator Banks has previously warned about efforts to block Trump’s return.
