Rachel Morin’s Brother Torches Biden at RNC: He Has Never Apologized

The brother of Rachel Morin, the 37-year-old mother of five who was killed last year by illegal immigrant MS-13 gang members, says President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have never reached out to the family or apologized.

“Joe Biden and his appointee, ‘border czar’ Kamala Harris, have opened the border to him and others like him, giving them the power to victimize innocent people,” Morin’s brother told an audience at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Tuesday night.

“But to this day, we have not heard anything from Joe Biden or Kamala Harris,” he said. “They have never apologized.”

Meanwhile, Maureen’s brother said President Trump contacted the family immediately to offer his heartfelt condolences.

“When Rachel was murdered, President Trump called my family to offer his condolences. He wanted to meet with us. He cared about us. That’s leadership. And we need to get real leadership back in the White House,” he said.

On August 5, 2023, Maureen was walking on the Mama & Papa Heritage Trail in Harford County, Maryland. When she didn’t return home, her boyfriend, Richard Tobin, reported her missing. The next day, Maureen’s body was found on the side of the trail.

On June 15, 2024, Tulsa police arrested Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, 23, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador with ties to the MS-13 gang, in connection to Morin’s murder.

Prosecutors allege that Martinez-Hernandez raped, beat and strangled Morin in what they call the most horrific case in Harford County history. Martinez-Hernandez was indicted in July on charges of first- and second-degree murder, rape, sexual assault and kidnapping.

Martinez-Hernandez, who is in police custody, is scheduled to stand trial in October.

“Open borders are often portrayed as a compassionate and noble act, but there is no mercy in allowing violent criminals into our country and depriving children of their mothers. My sister’s death was preventable,” Maureen’s brother told the Republican National Convention audience.

“This monster arrested for Rachel’s murder entered the United States illegally after murdering a woman in El Salvador,” he continued.

Indeed, Martinez Hernandez is one of at least 2 million illegal immigrant fugitives who have successfully crossed the southern border under the Biden administration.

Border Patrol agents arrested Martinez-Hernandez three times in 2023 — twice in January in New Mexico and Texas, and once in February in New Mexico. Each time, he was deported back to Mexico.

Shortly after his last deportation to Mexico, Martinez-Hernandez crossed the border into California, where he allegedly assaulted a woman and her child, then traveled to Maryland, where he is accused of raping and murdering Morin.

Before crossing the border, Martinez Hernandez had been accused of murdering a woman in his native El Salvador who had left a bar with his victim, whose body was found days later.
