Tucker Carlson warns a ‘spiritual battle’ is under way in America — then he reveals its No. 1 target: ‘Very obvious now’

Tucker Carlson believes the assassination attempt on Donald Trump is evidence of an ongoing “spiritual war” in the United States.

Speaking at a Heritage Foundation event at the Republican National Convention, Carlson said he believed “deeper” forces, like evil, were behind attacks like the one at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“It’s the religion of Jesus that’s offending them, which suggests that maybe there’s something a little deeper going on here.”

“I think what happened on Saturday, the attempted assassination of President Trump, reminded a lot of people of this or woke a lot of people up,” Carlson said Monday.

“There is a spiritual battle going on,” he added. “There is no logical way to understand what we are seeing right now in terms of time. It is not possible. This is not a political divide. There are forces out there, and it is very clear now. They have decided, for some reason, to take off their masks, and their only purpose is chaos, violence and destruction.”

Carlson said the forces he identified are “dedicated to the destruction of humanity” and believe they have a common enemy: Christians.

“It took me about 10 years to realise this. I’m not a super genius, but what is the group they hate the most? What is the group they fear the most and want to eliminate? Well, it’s Christians. It’s Christians,” he said.

“The group that angers them the most, and I would say inspires them the most right now, are Christians,” Carlson added, citing “Christian nationalism,” “people praying outside abortion clinics” and “people celebrating Easter instead of Transgender Visibility Day.”

Carlson pointed to previous revolutions throughout history, including the French Revolution, the Russian Revolution and the Spanish Revolution, as evidence to prove his point.

“It’s the religion of Jesus that’s offending them, which suggests there’s something a little deeper going on here,” he said.

“It’s not just that they’re in the way. Christians are hardly ever in the way. They’re the most peaceful people,” Carlson continued. “They worship a God who tells them not to harm others, to turn the other cheek, to pray for their persecutors. So it’s not that they’re obstructions. They’re the opposite of obstructions, but they’re still the enemy.”

This is not the first time Carlson has warned about the ongoing spiritual battle.

Earlier this year, Carlson Claimed The political conflict taking place in the United States seems to be growing in its existential nature, proving that it is a “not at all flesh and blood” battle.

The words are very similar to those in one of the letters written by the Apostle Paul some 2,000 years ago.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms,” Paul said. I have written In the letter to the Ephesians.
