Dana White is the president of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), a title he acquired in 2001 when childhood friends Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta bought the MMA fighting promotion for $2 million and appointed White to head the organization.
In 2023, White doubled down on his position and became CEO of UFC.
White is often considered a successful businessman, as under his watch UFC has grown to be worth more than $11 billion, according to Forbes magazine.

Some of the most memorable moments in UFC history under Whyte’s reign include Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche, Eddie Alvarez vs. Conor McGregor and Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261.
According to MMA Mania, the main card of UFC 229, Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor on October 6, 2018, drew 2.4 million sales.
White’s net worth is unknown, but during an interview with Bill Maher in April, he told the comedian he was “doing fine,” adding that he wasn’t a “real” billionaire.

A native of Manchester, Connecticut, he married his wife, Ann, in 1996. The two met in grade school and have been together ever since.
White and Anne live in Las Vegas, home of the UFC, and have three children: Dana White III, Aidan White, and Savannah White. Dana III is a safety for the University of San Diego Bullfighters, and Aidan is an amateur boxer. Savannah keeps her social media private, so little is known about her.

The Whites made headlines in early 2023 when a physical altercation between the couple was recorded and posted online.
“My wife and I were out Saturday night, New Year’s Eve, and unfortunately this happened,” White said in a TMZ video. “I’m one of those guys who has been saying for years that there’s never an excuse for a man to put his hands on a woman, and now I’m talking about it on TMZ.”
The video shows Ann punching White, who then punches Ann in return.

“It’s embarrassing, but it also means I’m more worried about my children right now,” he added.
White’s friend group is packed with A-list celebrities who are also UFC avid fans, including NBA All-Star Shaquille O’Neal, actress Olivia Munn and musician Kid Rock, among the Hollywood elite.
White has also appeared on the Trump family’s social media accounts: Donald Trump Jr. and his daughter (45’s eldest grandchild) Kai Trump attended UFC 303 together and posted photos with White on social media.
White is scheduled to speak in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the final night of the 2024 Republican National Convention. White has long been a vocal supporter of Trump and considers the businessman a friend. He is scheduled to introduce the former president after remarks from both Hulk Hogan and Eric Trump.
Before flying to Milwaukee, White spent a few days on the Italian island of Sardinia.
While on a flight to Europe, days before attending the Republican National Convention, White posted a photo on Instagram of Trump calling the Republican presidential nominee the “bad boy of America” after a lone gunman opened fire during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13.
Trump was shot in the ear and rushed to a nearby hospital.
“I’m on a plane to Italy right now and my phone is full of text messages from people informing me that @realdonaldtrump has been shot,” he wrote. “I feel so sick and in shock. I still don’t know how bad it is or if he’s OK.”
In the days after the assassination attempt, business leaders, celebrities and ordinary Americans took to a Trump-endorsed GoFundMe page for victims of the shooting at the rally, including volunteer firefighter Corey Comperatore, who was killed trying to shield his family from bullets and two others who were wounded.

White donated $50,000 to the GoFundMe, and UFC donated another $50,000.
Trump is expected to formally accept the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday night.
