Secret Service Is Clear and Present Threat to Democracy

Until yesterday, I had said nothing about the Secret Service’s apparent failure to protect former President Trump, who is alive today not because of the Secret Service, but because of a lucky turn of his head. Former President Trump was literally on the verge of having his brains blown out. Even more disturbingly, he was literally on the verge of being assassinated by an assassin who was allowed to roam the site of former President Trump’s Saturday night rally for anywhere between one and three hours.time— after he was identified as a suspicious person.

The reason I haven’t said anything about this astonishing security failure is because when things like this happen the news is filled with nonsense. Now, knowing what we know, it is clear that the United States Secret Service is a clear and present threat to our democracy.

The timeline of events that my colleague Christina Wong wrote on Saturday should take everyone’s breath away.

After 1pmAfter the rally venue was opened to the public at 1 p.m., the assassin appeared on security guards’ radar when a magnetometer picked up his rangefinder. binocularsWhether you’re a golfer or an assassin, the only use of a rangefinder is to aim at a target.

A few hours later — around 5 p.m.A security guard spotted a man with a rangefinder prowling the perimeter of the American Glass Research (AGR) building, who was soon to ascend the building and fire eight shots at the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

5:45pmLocal police stationed in the AGR building spotted the assassin “spying on the rooftops near the rally” and reported his presence on a system-wide channel presumably heard by the Secret Service.

6 minutes later 5:51pm: The Secret Service discovers the assassin. Two minutes later, the assassin is confirmed to be a threat.

Here’s the most important part…

6 pm“The officer saw Crooks return. [AGR] Crooks enters the building with a backpack on, and then alerts his commanding officer. “Crooks sits down and starts looking at his phone.” Crooks is then seen “pulling out a rangefinder and trying to gauge the distance between where he was and Trump’s podium.” The officer reportedly reported all of this over an open channel.

Are you ready… in 2 minutes…

6:02pm: Trump appears on stage!

The Secret Service did not tell Trump to wait five minutes to investigate the threat. They allowed him onto the stage minutes after a man with a backpack and a rangefinder was spotted spying on the stage.

It gets incredibly worse…

Here’s what the Secret Service allowed the former president to do in the nine minutes before he was shot – a full nine minutes.

While Trump was on stage, The assassin climbed onto the roof of the AGR, pulled out what appeared to be a semi-automatic rifle and prepared to fire. A local police officer then climbed onto the roof. The assassin pointed the gun at the local police officer. The officer dropped to the ground and called the police.

Meanwhile, protesters were trying to warn security about a man on the roof.

6:11pmThe assassin is allowed to fire eight shots before the Secret Service finally eliminates the threat.

The worst part is that…

Donald Trump is America’s most famous person and one of America’s most hated people, yet there was no security posted on a roof about 450-550 feet away, within Trump’s line of sight… That roof was unguarded, despite the corporate media likening Trump to Hitler and calling for his assassination… That roof was unguarded, despite Iran having reportedly issued a fatwa against Trump and Biden leaving America’s southern border wide open.

And why was the roof, an obvious safety threat, left unprotected?

“We are pleased to announce that we have received a number of updates from the Secret Service,” said Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.

That building in particular has a sloped roof on the highest part, so, you know, for safety reasons, you don’t want people on a sloped roof, so the decision was made to protect the building from the inside.

Sorry, but that’s nothing but a lie. photograph The roof of a building exposed by the far-left The Washington Post.

the other one is photograph.

So the head of the Secret Service is flat out lying about why he didn’t guard the rooftops where an assassin could gain access.

Even if the roof was too steep (it wasn’t too steep), why not post guards around the four perimeters of the building?

This is an unacceptable neglect of the Secret Service and calls for a thorough cleanup that will end with mass layoffs and the resignation of the Secretary of Homeland Security. Alejandro Mayorkas Or, and I don’t mean this lightly, these are ominous words coming from an administration that has already barred Trump from the ballot, sentenced him to life in prison, bankrupted him, searched his home, arrested him, and told the American people that he is the next Hitler, a dictator, and the only threat to democracy.

And how are we supposed to believe anything coming from the very same federal security agency that lied for years about Trump colluding with Russia and then brazenly lied about Hunter Biden’s laptop being Russian disinformation?

I usually end such sentences with something like this: My mind may change as more information comes to light. But the Secret Service, Mayorkas and the corporate media have not provided any further information or clamored for more information.

Here’s what we know…

The Secret Service allowed Donald Trump onto the stage despite knowing there was a clear threat lurking on the premises.

The Director of the Secret Service is lying about why he didn’t secure the roof.

Listen, we all hate politicians. I get that. But here’s the thing… politicians special Because they weThey represent our will. They represent how we want to be represented. This is especially true with a sitting president like Biden and a presumptive candidate like Trump. Biden and Trump represent tens of millions of us, and if they are assassinated, it is a direct attack on the tens of millions of people who elected these two people to represent us. That is democracy. Democracy is found in the people we elected to represent us…When the Secret Service allows something like this to happen, the Secret Service is One This work poses a clear and present danger to democracy.
