On Thursday’s MSNBC broadcast of “The Chris Jansing Report,” Biden campaign chief deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks maintained that President Joe Biden will be the Democratic nominee, saying, “Whether Vice President Harris runs alongside President Biden or not, or whether or not you vote for Joe Biden, makes no difference to us.”
“This is a margin of error election. We’ve said from the beginning that this election is going to be close. We know the states that will decide this election, and that’s why our campaign has been building an infrastructure to be able to reach as many voters in those states as possible. And we’re not going to attack any public officials,” Fulks said. “We need to come together as a party and talk about what the issues are and, again, what you’re going to hear. I want there to be equal attention paid to what Donald Trump and the Republican Party have been talking about over the last three days, the lies they’ve been spewing, and, again, what you’re going to hear from Donald Trump tonight. But our campaign knows this is going to be close.”
He added, “Vice President Harris is running alongside President Biden. She is a partner. Whether people vote for Vice President Harris running alongside President Biden or for Joe Biden, it makes no difference to us. They have been fighting together since they won the 2020 election. The focus of our campaign has been very clear and we must continue to draw the contrast. But President Biden has made a decision. He is the Democratic nominee. As I said before, I don’t know how many times I can answer this question. I don’t know how many times President Biden can answer this question, but he will be the Democratic nominee and he will defeat Donald Trump in November.”
