‘Dynasty’ star donates $50K to GoFundMe in support of Trump rally shooting victims

Catherine Oxenberg, an actress best known for her role as Amanda Carrington on the 1980s primetime soap opera “Dynasty,” has donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe approved by former President Trump to help victims of the shooting at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

“My heart breaks for the victims’ families and the tragic loss of life. May God bless them and support them as they grieve,” Oxenberg wrote, along with donating $50,000 to a GoFundMe to support the families of those injured or killed in the assassination attempt on Trump, who accepted the Republican 2024 presidential nomination this week.

Oxenberg also posted a link to the GoFundMe on his official X account.

A GoFundMe started by Meredith O’Rourke, Trump’s financial director and senior adviser, has raised more than $5 million through more than 68,000 donations, including for the family of Corey Comperatore, a firefighter who was killed while trying to shield a loved one from bullets at a campaign rally.

Another GoFundMe, set up by Jason Babb, owner of 3 Fit Six Gym in Cabot, raised more than $1.2 million for Comperatore’s daughter, Allison, a frequent gym-goer.

“Saturday night, our friend and family member, Allison, A senseless, tragic act Babb wrote for the fundraiser at the Butler Trump rally, “Allison has been our athlete from the beginning. She is a huge part of our community…If you are able to support her and her family during this time, we will have a donation area set up in the gym and please sign the card at the desk.”

“Wow. We’ve raised over $800,000 in less than 24 hours,” he later added. “Our goal is $1 million. Please share with everyone you know. Allison and her family are so grateful for all your support.”
