Exclusive photos from Fox News Digital show Hunter Biden roaming Los Angeles while his father, President Joe Biden, hunkered down on the other side of the country, fighting to protect his legacy.
Biden’s son, who has reportedly been closely advising his father amid calls from leading Democrats for him to forgo reelection, was spotted out shopping on Friday and leaving the home of “Sugar Bro” Kevin Morris, the entertainment lawyer who funded his defense in his recent criminal trial.
President Biden is reportedly leaning heavily on his troubled son, a Yale Law School graduate, and his wife, Jill Biden, to fend off accusations that he is mentally unfit to serve another four years as president, an accusation that reached a fever pitch after Biden’s disastrous June 27 debate with Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump.
The president is spending the weekend at his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Hunter Biden began sitting in on meetings with his father and aides at the White House just a week after the debate, but a White House source told NBC at the time that the sudden presence created confusion and left many wondering “what on earth was going on.”
Sources say Biden relied on his son for those meetings as well as phone calls.

Hunter Biden was also reportedly one of the strongest advocates for his father to continue in the campaign at a rally at Camp David following the president’s poor performance in the presidential debate, leading some critics to argue it creates a conflict of interest for the president to appoint his son as a top adviser.
Rep. Greg Stube (R-Fla.) called Hunter Biden a “walking national security threat” for his involvement in these top-level meetings.

Hunter Biden is seeking a pardon from his father for two lawsuits filed in Delaware and California, with some alleging he is seeking to have the cases dismissed in the same way as lawsuits involving former President Trump.

Biden’s lawyers are arguing that the appointment of special counsel David Weiss was unlawful and are seeking to have both federal lawsuits dismissed.Hanger Biden was convicted last month of three felony counts related to a 2018 handgun purchase and has a pending lawsuit in California on alleged federal tax crimes.

“This is a huge concern, pure and simple, that his father would remain president and pardon not only Hunter, but Joe and the rest of the family for the crimes they committed, and possibly Merrick Garland for his role in the cover-up,” Mike Howell, executive director of the Heritage Foundation Oversight Project, told Fox News Digital earlier this month.
Hunter Biden was convicted of all charges in the Delaware gun case, including making false statements regarding a gun purchase, making false statements regarding information required to be kept by federally licensed gun dealers, and possession of a firearm by an unlawful user or addict of a controlled substance.
