Israeli military says it hit Houthi targets in Yemen

The Israeli military said on Saturday it had attacked Houthi military facilities in Yemen in an act of “self-defence”.

The Associated Press reported that the Yemeni city of Sanaa’s health ministry said the attack initially wounded 80 people. Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam said in a post on X that the “blatant Israeli attack” targeted a fuel storage facility and a power plant.

Yemen-based health officials also said several people were killed in the attack.
