Don’t cry for Madonna’s son, David Banda, just yet.
During a recent Instagram Live, the “Material Girl” singer’s 18-year-old son spoke about some of the changes in his life after graduating from high school.
When a fan asked Banda how it was to “live alone,” People MagazineBanda candidly responded about how humbled she has felt since moving out of her mother’s New York residence.

“It’s fun to experience that moment when you’re hungry at 9pm, you realise you don’t have enough money to buy food, but you don’t have enough food at home so you have to go looking around,” he shared on social media.
Vanda reportedly lives in the Bronx with his girlfriend and teaches guitar lessons, which he books via Instagram.
A source told the outlet that Madonna has a “very close” relationship with David and has “always been supportive of all of her children.”

The “Sicario” singer has two biological children, daughter Lourdes Leon with ex-husband Carlos Leon, and son Rocco Ritchie with ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
She adopted David during a humanitarian trip to Malawi with Guy in 2006, and later returned to Malawi to adopt her daughter, Chifundo “Mercy” James.

Earlier this month, Madonna celebrated a major health milestone: In June 2023, she developed a “severe bacterial infection” that led to “severe hospitalization in intensive care for several days,” her longtime manager wrote on Instagram at the time.
“One year ago today, I had just returned home from the hospital after recovering from a life-threatening illness and could barely stand in my backyard with a single sparkler,” she shared on Instagram during the Independence Day holiday.
“I made a miraculous recovery and have had an amazing year. Thank you God. Life is good!”
