With Joe Biden dropping out of the race, Donald Trump will face a new candidate in 2024.
Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris.
A look at the last four polls shows that Donald Trump is ahead of Kamala in three, and her approval rating is not much higher than Joe Biden’s.

With President Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, Vice President Kamala Harris has become the overwhelming front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination.
But Harris’ biggest challenge is still ahead: Several polls taken before Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race showed her to be on par with or slightly ahead of Republican nominee Donald Trump.
…
And Biden was trailing Trump in many national and battleground state polls, hastening the president’s retreat.
NBC News’ latest national poll, conducted more than a week after Biden’s disastrous debate performance and before the assassination attempt on Trump, found that both the president and Harris were trailing Trump by 2 points among registered voters, though the actual percentages for each candidate were slightly different: Trump led Biden 45% to 43%, while in a head-to-head matchup between Biden and Harris, Trump had 47% and Harris had 45%. Both tests of the vote fell within the poll’s margin of error.
Real Clear Politics Average Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris by 1.7%.
