President Joe Biden announced yesterday, to the surprise of almost no one, that he was abandoning his reelection campaign in 2024. The forceful announcement came on the heels of immense pressure from within the Democratic Party for Biden to back down.
For two years, in multiple columns, I have said that Biden will not be the Democratic nominee for president come November 2024.
Let’s go back in time and play some of the hits.

There are many more but these are the email responses.
It’s not that I have better reasoning skills or better inside information than anyone else, but it was clear to me, based on lived experience, that, cognitively speaking, President Biden was in rapid decline and not a realistic option for Democrats in November.
First, he has seen his relatives and colleagues suffer from progressive Alzheimer’s disease and has noticed that President Biden has similar symptoms. Second, he has worked on the past three presidential election campaigns, knows the order of election season, and realizes that the Democratic Party is rapidly in trouble.
There was absolutely no need for any of this. This was shameful but deliberate elder abuse by all those who covered up for Biden’s rapid decline. The list appears to include the Biden family, Biden’s staff, Vice President Kamala Harris, Harris’ staff, many members of Congress, much of the mainstream media, his family doctor, and certain celebrities in Hollywood.
Perhaps some wanted to keep Biden in office as long as possible because of their own selfish interests linked to money and power. All wanted to keep Biden in office as long as possible because they believed he was still the best hope of defeating former President Donald Trump.
When Biden malfunctioned during the June 27 debate with Trump, rats started jumping off “Good Ship Biden.” No more stagecraft. No more cover-ups. The American people, and the rest of the world, have just witnessed the Commander-in-Chief of the world’s most powerful military self-destruct before their very eyes.
But the truth is, those who have been covering for Biden for all these months knew all about it long before the American people and world leaders did. They knew it, they hid it — and now it has blown up in their faces, spectacularly.
It is now clear that, like the Wizard of Oz, the Biden family, staff and various acolytes were trying to manipulate Biden’s mind and guide him through Election Day behind those heavy curtains. Their spectacular failure will go down in history as one of the worst political gambles of all time.
But their reckless gamble was also a direct attack on America’s national and economic security. J.D. Vance, the Ohio senator and recently announced running mate for Trump, said: Posts“If Joe Biden does not have the cognitive capacity to run for reelection, he certainly does not have the cognitive capacity to remain commander in chief.”
Indeed, this is a very serious issue.
For months now, I and others have been asking: If Biden can’t do his job, who is taking over for him behind the scenes? Who is posing as commander in chief while parts of the world burn and World War III rages on the battlefields of Ukraine?
Tens of millions of Americans voted for Biden in 2020. The American people did not vote for an unknown, faceless aide hiding in the shadows, gradually stripping Biden of all power in determining U.S. policy, much like the Machiavellian chief of staff pulling the strings for a puppet “president” in the fictional movie “Dave.” This was a disastrous cover-up that requires a thorough investigation.
Those trying to cover up Biden’s truly tragic cognitive decline were not only attempting to mislead the public, but potentially putting them at risk through deliberate deception.
This is certainly comparable to the “Nixon cover-up.” With the presidential election approaching, it will be interesting to see how the media and Congress will investigate this honestly and fairly in the coming weeks.
