Attorney John Morgan, a major Biden donor, issued a warning to Democrats on Sunday as they began to rally around Vice President Kamala Harris as the front-runner for the presidential nomination.
After President Joe Biden announced Sunday that he would not seek reelection, Morgan told ABC News he would stop fundraising for the Democratic Party if Harris becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.
“She thinks Joe Biden is shit, so I’ll never support her.”
The reason is simple: Morgan believes that supporting Harris is a fool’s errand because he believes she is too far-left to win a general election.
“If Trumpworld could pick anyone to run against him, I think they would pick her,” he says. Said ABC News. “If she becomes the nominee, there will be a big party at Mar-a-Lago that night.”
Indeed, Morgan believes Biden’s endorsement of Harris was a subtle message to his own party, whose brokers have effectively pushed Biden out of the running because Donald Trump has emerged as the clear front-runner to win the election.
“Joe Biden endorsing Kamala is a fuck up to him and to all the people who got rid of him,” Morgan said. Said“Be careful what you wish for.”

Morgan said Democrats should instead pick Sen. Joe Manchin (I-Va.), Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer or Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro as their nominee for vice president. He even predicted former first lady Michelle Obama would win in a “landslide victory,” though Obama has repeatedly said she has no intention of running for president.
Morgan’s suggestion that Biden endorsed Harris to sink his own party is probably not far from the truth.
Axios reported on MondayCiting sources close to the president, the report said Biden delayed his decision to drop out of the race because he was concerned that Harris would not be able to beat Trump on Election Day.
Indeed, to say Harris’ performance as vice president has fallen short of expectations would be an understatement.
Not only has Harris’ office experienced incredible staff turnover due to the way she “treated her staff,” but she is also deeply unpopular, with her biggest blemish being related to the border crisis, and her only presidential campaign in the 2020 Democratic primary was a huge failure, resulting in her never seriously challenging for the nomination.
Morgan called Harris’ 2020 campaign “not just bad, it was awful” and, in his view, she is the worst kind of politician.
“I don’t think she’s real,” he said. Said ABC News. “All politicians are fakes. Let’s start with that. But some are sincere, and some are what I call fake phonies. And fake phonies are the worst kind of fake.”
“And she thinks Joe Biden is shit, so I’ll never support her,” he added.
