Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has labelled the cause of his estrangement from his “transgender” son as the “virus of the woke mind” and explained that the experience inspired him to “vow to destroy the virus of the woke mind”.
Tesla CEO and X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk made some strong statements about his estranged “transgender” son and the current state of gender policy in America during a recent interview with Dr. Jordan Peterson. Musk claimed he was “tricked” into agreeing to his child’s gender reassignment surgery during the COVID-19 pandemic, a decision he now strongly disagrees with.

Musk’s 20-year-old son, Xavier Alexander Musk (who now uses the name Vivian Jenna Wilson), legally changed his name and gender in a Santa Monica, California court in June 2022. In his petition for the change, Xavier expressed his desire to sever ties with his biological father, stating, “I no longer live with my biological father and no longer wish to be associated with him in any capacity.”
The tech mogul described the experience as like losing a child, addressing the concept of “deadnaming,” which refers to the use of a transgender person’s birth name. “There’s a reason it’s called deadnaming. The reason it’s called deadnaming is because my son is dead,” Musk said in the interview.
Musk’s comments reignited the debate over gender reassignment surgery, particularly for minors. He called it “the mutilation and sterilization of children,” echoing a growing sentiment among some medical professionals. The billionaire entrepreneur argued that such surgeries are performed on individuals “well below the age of consent.”
Musk also blamed his son’s school for the “woke mind virus” that invaded his thinking. Xavier attended the elite Crossroads Preparatory School, which is the subject of a chapter in Andrew Breitbart’s first book. Hollywood Interruption.

This is the same school that Elon Musk now says brainwashed his son, Xavier Alexander Musk, who is now known as a transgender “daughter” named Vivian Jenna Wilson. Breitbart News reported last year that Musk’s son said he “doesn’t want to have anything to do with his biological father in any way.”
In an interview with journalist Walter Isaacson, who is writing a biography of the multi-billion-dollar SpaceX founder, Musk said he supported his son’s decision to have a gender transition, but that Wilson had since become a “devout communist” and cut off all contact with him.
Xavier Alexander Musk is one of six children born to Musk and his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, who divorced in 2008. Wilson has kept a relatively low profile compared to his more famous ex-husband.
Xavier Musk had his sex changed at Crossroads, a notoriously ultra-progressive private school in Los Angeles that has many of Hollywood’s elite, actors and agents attending its children, including Jack Black.
