Vice President Kamala Harris is not a moderate.
GovTrack’s scorecard ranked her as the most radical senator of 2019, ranking her among the most extreme incumbents in the Senate, behind socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and The New York Times evaluation Of the 10 Democratic candidates, Harris has the lowest chance of winning.
Harris is unlikely to campaign on her record: Her policies are unlikely to resonate with voters in battleground states or overcome their opposition to what they say is a decline in living standards under a Biden-Harris administration.

Harris appeared in public for the first time since entering the Democratic primary on Monday, where she defended the administration’s record of policy missteps.
“The accomplishments of Joe Biden over the last three years are unmatched in modern history,” she argued, asking people to applaud. “In one term, he’s already — yes, please applaud. In one term, he’s already surpassed the accomplishments of most two-term presidents.”
