Chris “Ava Chris” Tyson, the sidekick of YouTube superstar Mr.Beast and particularly popular among children and teens, has been at the center of controversy following allegations of inappropriate relationships and grooming with minors.

Tyson is the former co-host of the hugely popular YouTube channel “Mr. Beast.” Tyson is alleged to have had a relationship with a minor who was 13 years old at the time of initial contact. Tyson, who was 20 years old at the time the relationship began, allegedly met the minor through an online contest associated with the Mr. Beast channel.
According to reports, Tyson and the minor, known as “Lava,” had been in contact in public online forums for several years before meeting in person when she turned 16. The relationship came to light through a series of expose-style videos and clips shared on social media platforms.

The controversy has resurfaced several controversial posts made by Tyson in the past, including interactions with an artist known as “Shadman,” who is notorious for sexualizing young characters. In one instance, Tyson allegedly asked the artist to “draw me a 10-year-old anime girl.” Other posts attributed to Tyson include sexualized depictions of cartoon children, including comments about characters in popular media.
The allegations against Tyson have sparked a huge response on social media, with some users sharing what they claim to be Instagram posts of Tyson with the underage suspect during a college visit in 2020. However, the images have not been independently verified.

The person, who calls herself “Lava”, is now 20 years old, has publicly denied being a victim of grooming. In a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Lava said: “These videos are a big lie and a distortion of the truth. Ava has done nothing wrong, just made some rather extreme jokes. I have never been exploited or taken advantage of.”
Mr. Beast, whose real name is James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, has not made a public statement regarding the allegations against Tyson. The YouTube star, known for his extravagant stunts and philanthropic work, has a reported net worth of $700 million and is said to be a personal friend of Tyson.
Jake Franklin, a former member of MrBeast’s channel, cryptically posted on X after the news about Tyson broke, saying “Jimmy knew,” but the context and meaning of the statement remain unclear and unverified.
